| This years Billabong Girls Days was a great sucess with lots of fun had by all with Sun, Surf and Yoga, the 100% Girls 100% free event celebrating womens surfing went without a hitch. An all girl surf celebration, the event included 2 days to ride and to live the surf lifestyle, tips and on hand expert tuition, 2 days to share your passion for the ocean. Learn to surf, improve your skills and have fun ! Yoga, dancing, design, fashion, workshops, beach party, beauty tips and much much more occurred during the weekend that for the first time this summmer we saw a sunny day with surf! Free to Girls aged from 10 to 30, our aim was to teach all levels of surfing throughout the weekend. The UK part of Billabongs Europe wide Girls Days happened on the 12/13th of July with events already completed in Hossegor and Spain. The UK part was partnered by Hunter, who provided excellent surf coaching through their surf school HunterNickThorn Surf Coaching. We are hoping that next years event will be a continuing success in the partnership of Billabong and Hunter. Keep looking here for information regarding this towards the begining of 2009. Over 100 competitors of all ages, some as young as 8 years old turned up to compete. Rip Curl hosted this - the 6th annual GromSearch event in Cornwall, the English leg of the 3 part UK and Ireland series. The Rip Curl GromSearch series in a global Rip Curl event with the same taking place throughout the rest of Europe over the next month.
